Can I receive care at the weekends and/or bank holidays?
Yes, we offer services 365 days a year. There is however a rate enhancement on weekends and bank holidays.
Will I constantly see new faces or can I get the same team regularly?
Continuity of Care is a very important factor we take into account when developing our care plans. We aim to keep a select few faces visiting each client, to allow a bond to be formed and so our carers get to know and understand our client’s needs better. However, our carers do have holiday to take, have days off and occasionally feel unwell, so we cannot promise you will always have the exact same person every time.
Can I change my appointment times?
Yes. We generally ask for 24 hours notice to change appointment times, so that we can check availability of carers at the requested times.
If you ever have an issue with an upcoming appointment, just phone the office. Lisa will be pleased to help you.
What if I don’t like my carer?
In the extremely unlikely event that you are not compatible with any of your care staff, we will try our best to send someone else to your home.
How do I cancel a care visit?
To cancel a visit, you can either phone the office, where one of our helpful office staff will help,or you can call our on-call carer.
How will the care staff gain access to my home?
If you are unhappy or unable to answer your door, we can arrange for a key safe to be installed. This is a secure way for trusted individuals to gain access into your home.
Are your carers checked and trained?
Yes, all of our carers go through our extensive training program on-site. This is completed within their first few weeks of employment. They are all checked prior to employment commencement through the DBS and the Protection of Vulnerable Adults Register. As well as this, references are requested from previous employers.
